CC250 Flag Makes Its Way Across Chester County

The America250PA Chester County Commission acquired official CC250 flags to serve as a symbol of our nation's upcoming 250th anniversary — to fly high throughout Chester County and celebrate this once-in-a-generation milestone.
The flags were presented to Chester County's 73 municipalities, as well as historical commissions, institutions, and various landmarks throughout the county.
Additionally, the CC250 Commission held a handful of "Flag Handoff/Ceremony" events, where the flag was presented in a public setting, either at a community event or meeting. These events included:
Oxford Borough
A CC250 flag was presented to the Borough of Oxford during their Sidewalk Sessions First Friday event on June 5 by CC250 Commission Members Mark Slouf and Adam Desch, as well as CCPC's David Blackburn.

North Coventry Township
On Wednesday, June 8th, CC250 Commission Member Tim Hennessey and CCPC's Matt Edmond and David Blackburn presented North Coventry with a CC250 flag at the start of their Board of Supervisors meeting.

Tredyffrin Township
On June 15, a CC250 flag was presented to Tredyffrin Township at the start of their Board of Supervisors Meeting. CC250's Chair Michelle Kichline and Member Rob Williams presented the flag to Township staff and supervisors, accompanied by CCPC's David Blackburn.

Valley Township
A CC250 flag was presented to Valley Township at the start of their Board of Supervisors Meeting on June 16 by CC250 Commission Member Colin Hanna and CCPC's Matt Edmond.

Kennett Square Borough
A CC250 flag was presented to Kennett Square Borough on June 18 as part of their Third Thursday event. The flag was handed off by CC250 Commission Members MaryFrances McGarrity and Susan Hamley, and CCPC's Matt Edmond.

Pocopson Township/Barnard Station
On Sunday, June 21, a CC250 flag was presented to Pocopson Township during their Dare to Declare and Open House celebration at Barnard Station. The flag was handed off by CC250 Commission Member Mark Slouf, as well as CCPC's Jeannine Speirs.

A flag handoff will take place at West Chester's Borough Hall, 401 East Gay Street, on July 1, at 9:30 a.m.
Additionally, residential flags will be available for donations of $125 or greater to CC250. Details to come soon on the CC250 website.
